Cordia Newton, born from a profound love for fashion and a deep-rooted connection to heritage, is a testament to my lifelong dedication to the art of design. With over 30 years of experience, Cordia Newton honed her skills through formal education, having majored in women's and children's wear at Fashion Industries H.S. and graduating with a patternmaking degree in women's wear from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Over the years, Cordia Newton passionately crafted bespoke garments for both her cherished clients and family, instilling a commitment to exceptional quality and individuality in every piece created.

With faith as her guiding light, inspired by the style and grace of my late grandmother, who was also a fashion enthusiast and a skilled clothing maker, Mrs. Newton embarked on a mission to recreate vintage gowns from the late 1920s to the 1960s. Infusing these classics with a modern twist of African prints,  Cordia Newton aims to cater to women seeking unique, timeless ensembles for their special occasions.

As a result of these things, the Mantalva Boutique was born which stands as a symbol of timeless, one-of-a-kind style, marked by meticulous attention to detail and the exclusive use of top-notch fabrics. Our goal is not just to create garments but to craft experiences. We strive to make every client feel and look elegantly unique in their custom-made dresses and gowns, setting them apart in a world saturated with fleeting fashion trends.
